Single boarded bunnies will be in a carpeted 2’ x 6’ exercise pen and bonded pairs (upon request) will be in a 4’ x 6’ carpeted exercise pen. We will provide a litter pan, ceramic water & food bowls, and greens (organic romaine, cilantro, flat parsley, spring mix, and baby bok choy). Pet parents are asked to bring with them any items of their choice that have their bunny’s scent (toys, bowls, blankets, small tunnels). This helps them feel more comfortable as they adjust to their new environment. Please be sure these items are not so large that they take up the entire ex pen and leave no room for your bunny to stretch their legs.
Because a switch in pellets can cause tummy upset, we ask pet parents to bring in a supply of pellets to last the length of their bunny’s stay. We stock Small World Manna Pro pellets and also Oxbow adult & young bunny pellets. These brands can be provided upon request at no extra charge. The bunnies are given room temperature Brita filtered water. If your bunny requires distilled water for medical reasons, please let us know and we are happy to provide that as well.
Each enclosure has a care sheet clipped to the side to help track scheduled feedings, cleanings and other important information. Medications and requested nail trims are also tracked on these sheets. While we cannot promise you text or video updates on a daily basis, we will do our best to send several throughout your bunny’s stay. Updates are typically sent the day after arrival to let you know how well they are settling in and then every couple of days thereafter.
Boarded bunnies do not interact with our bunnies nor with other boarded bunnies. Boarded bunnies are also NEVER brought upstairs for bunny interactions. Our expert staff care for our boarded bunnies with the same great love and attention to detail they provide to our bunnies. Food & water intake as well as fecal output is closely monitored. Music is played throughout the day to keep all the bunnies company. They also thoroughly enjoy watching each other's antics!
Our day begins at 9am and ends around 9pm. Drop-off and pick-up is preferred between 10am-8pm, with the exception of Wednesdays when we are closed. Special arrangements need to be made outside of these standard drop-off and pick-up times and on Wednesdays. NOTE: We are also closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Days. Arrangements for pick-up need to be made either the day before or after any of these holidays.
At the end of each day before we depart, each bunny gets a small treat. These treats typically consist of a couple blueberries, a banana slice, piece of apple, a strawberry, dried cranberry or grape. If you do not want your bunny to have an evening treat, be sure to let us know. We can easily substitute a digestive, urinary support, or papaya tablet. As we turn off the lights and lock all the doors, we routinely say, "Goodnight sweet bunnies!" Bunnies thrive on routines and we want all the bunnies in our care to thrive. :)
