All the bunnies at Cuddle Bunny are beloved family pets of the owner and her daughters. They have been frequently handled since a young age and thrive on human interaction. The greatest of care is taken to ensure their health and happiness in the least stressful environment possible. They are continually monitored, regularly examined by a veterinarian, and all are spayed/neutered.
Two separate groups of bunnies are available for interactions. Group one and group two bunnies alternate interaction days, giving them a day in between as a break from the action. On their day off, they remain downstairs where volunteers come in for morning and afternoon shifts giving them the human attention (and cilantro!) they thrive upon.
Their diet consists of 75% Oxbow timothy hay, 10% fresh greens, 10% Manna Pro enriched pellets, and 5% treats including carrots, apples, bananas, blueberries and an occasional biscuit. Their water bowl is sanitized and refreshed with filtered, room-temperature water twice daily. Their litter pans are lined with a training pad (for the non-chewers), lined with Timothy hay, and changed daily.
At the end of the day while the humans are undertaking closing activities, our bunnies are given free roam of the interaction area to stretch their legs, exercise and binky about. The carpeted runner spanning the length of the interaction space is the bunny racetrack! At night, the bunnies retreat to the living/boarding area downstairs.
